A flightless hatchling, with skin laid bare to the wind.
Heart thundering beneath frail bones, I await.
Blink of protuberant eye, intake of quaking breath.
A thrust of green, turning to the sun.
Drinking in richness, deep within the soil.
Unfurl delicate leaves, extend radiance.
Laughter so sweet, sun-kissed by morning light.
Endless blue, against ageless white.
Bathe in warmth, exist in light.
For I am Spring.
