Blood And Anxiety-Wisdom

My mother’s truths

Where locked away

In an altered mind

Occasionally dropping

Pearls of truth

In my lap

which I would

Greedily grasp

Push into my heart

And cherish

She, denied her mother’s by an early death

Given one daughter

Who wants

nothing of my truths

I then question

the point of wisdom

Or the need to share

My hearts truths

With my own

So I will share

With other mothers daughters

And ask

Who will share their feminine truths

With mine

Whose hand will

she reach for

To steady her foot

Upon life’s path

Whose tribe

will she run with

What’s the point

Of being

Blessed with wisdom

When the one woman

You most desire

To influence

Turns her face

From your truth

Wanting nothing

So there is an ache

That has found

My heart

Where is my balm Gilead
