Lift eyes upwards and see,
The beauty that surrounds.
So much has existence been sought,
To have al that which can only be purchased.
Forget do we that which is above price,
That humbles, inspires, and renews.
That which we wish would give us delight,
Is but smoke and mirrors to tantalize.
Our souls cry out for more,
Give us the stuffs of life.
All we must do is put away the graying light,
And step from our hovels out into each day.
Walk ourselves about this living world,
Partake in the silence of trees.
Share whispers with flowing rivers and warming lakes.
Be in the presence of life that is ageless,
And unlatch our most inner parts.
